In Rabat, we\u2019ll visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. \u00a0After lunch we will head to Meknes, arriving in early evening. \u00a0You can have dinner in the restaurant overlooking the square opposite the beautiful Bab Mansour gate. Your accommodation will be in a traditional riad in the old medina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 2: Meknes \u2013 Volubilis \u2013 \u00a0Fez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">After breakfast we will take a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries &amp; the city rampart. \u00a0We will then depart via Volubilis, and see the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town and an important place of pilgrimage where the founder of Morocco\u2019s first dynasty is buried. We will continue onto Fez. Dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 3: Fez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">You will have a guided tour to discover the the medina and the famous souks (markets) of Fez with its narrow cobbled streets, filled with ancient mosques and towering green-<wbr \/>glazed minarets. The tour will include a visit to the tannery and a ceramics cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 4: Fez \u2013 Ilfrane \u2013 Azrou \u2013 Midelt \u2013 Merzouga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">After breakfast we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the \u201cSwitzerland\u201d of Morocco and the Azrou Cedar forests and see the monkey-<wbr \/>like Barbary macaques living there. We will continue to Midelt \u00a0where we will have lunch. \u00a0We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorges on our way to Merzouga.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 5: Merzouga \u2013 Khamlia \u2013 Rissani \u2013 Erg Chebbi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">Today we will explore the desert region and the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We will will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the the nomad\u2019s way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the of the desert. \u00a0We will visit the \u201cBlack Village\u201d of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. \u00a0In the afternoon we will ride camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 6: Merzouga \u2013 Todra Gorges \u2013 Dades Gorges<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. \u00a0We will cross the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at Todra Gorge. There, we\u2019ll take a walk in the Todra Gorges and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to our accommodation in the Dades Gorge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 7: Dades Gorge \u2013 El Kelaa Magona \u2013 Skoura \u2013 \u00a0Ouarzazate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take an off-<wbr \/>road track to see the nomad caves. \u00a0We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis to arrive early evening in Ouarzazate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 8: Ouarzazate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">Ouarzazate is the Hollywood of Morocco. Here you\u2019ll have a day on your own for shopping or sightseeing. You can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas film studios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 9: Ouarzazate \u2013 Telouet \u2013 Marrakech<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">After breakfast we will depart to the World Heritage site, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Next, we\u2019ll visit the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-<wbr \/>n-<wbr \/>Tichka to Marrakech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 10: Marrakech<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">This guided tour of Marrakech will include a visit to the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Sa\u00e2dien tombs and the Bahia palace. \u00a0You can explore the amazing medina and the fascinating Jamaa El Fna square with lively entertainment and lovely souks (markets).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 11: Marrakech<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">You will have the day to explore Marrakech on your own or opt for a day tour to the Ouzoud Waterfalls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 12: Marrakech to Essaouira<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">You can spend the morning relaxing or shopping in Marrakech before we depart at your convenience to Essaouira, a beautiful city on the Atlantic Ocean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><strong>Day 13: Essaouira<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span class=\"C-4\">Enjoy your day wandering the old fortified fishing port of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, enjoying the amazing mixture of Portuguese and Berber architecture.
